Paws Until Home
Keeping Pets and People Together Through Care and Community Support
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide temporary pet care for individuals within the regions of Penobscot and Hancock counties of Maine facing short-term crises that prevent them from caring for their pets until they can be safely reunited. We aim to ensure pets are safely housed and reunited with their owners as quickly as possible.
How We Help
We assist in the temporary housing placement of dogs, cats, reptiles, & other small mammals.
We work with local in-home fosters, volunteers, and boarding facilities/shelters to provide temporary housing care for pets.
Please know, we do not accept pets that are concerned illegal to own in the state of Maine, and our temporary care is not intended for placements beyond 30 care days.

Donate Today!
Cannot donate monetarily? That is okay! We are always looking for treats, toys, bedding, etc that our in-home fosters can use to make the pets in our care feel at home.
