Paws Until Home
Keeping Pets and People Together Through Care and Community Support
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide temporary pet care for individuals within the regions of Penobscot and Hancock counties of Maine facing short-term crises that prevent them from caring for their pets. We aim to ensure pets are safely housed and reunited with their owners whenever possible.
Where Do We Come In?
We assist in the temporary housing placement of dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, horses, spiders, birds, & other small mammals.
We work with local in-home fosters, volunteers, and boarding facilities/shelters to provide housing care for pets.
We do not accept illegally obtained/kept animals. This temporary care is not intended for placements beyond 30 care days.
